Manage and Track Google Play Points in Wallet — Simple Setup Guide

Google has rolled out a new update that lets Android users add and manage their Google Play Points directly through Google Wallet, creating a more streamlined and convenient way to track rewards and perks within the Android ecosystem.

The new integration allows Play Points to appear as a digital card within Google Wallet, sitting just below your debit, credit, and loyalty cards. It displays your current Play Points status, whether you’re at the Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Diamond level.

Tapping the card opens a full-screen interface that shows your total Play Points, the current earning year, and how many points you earn per dollar spent on Google Play purchases. A simple progress bar also helps users see how close they are to reaching the next reward tier.

Convenient Rewards Access for Android Users

The new feature makes it easier to track progress and access perks without navigating through multiple apps. A dedicated button at the bottom of the card — “Open Play Points” — redirects users to the Google Play Points section for deeper account management, including history and redemption options.

This update aligns with Google’s ongoing goal of making Wallet a central hub for payment, identity, and rewards management on Android devices.

How to Add Play Points to Google Wallet

Adding your Play Points card to Google Wallet takes just a few steps:

  1. Open the Google Play app on your Android device.
  2. Tap on the “Perks” tab.
  3. Find the card labeled “Add Play Points to your Wallet.”
  4. Select “Add to Google Wallet.”
  5. In Wallet, sign in to your account and tap “Add.”

Once completed, your Play Points card will appear in Google Wallet, allowing instant access to your points and level status whenever you open the app.

Additional Features and Account Details

Users can tap the three-dot menu on the Play Points card to access more features, including “Member since,” “Play Points history,” and “Level benefits.” The card can also be archived or removed anytime.

Google says this feature aims to enhance the rewards experience by merging Play Points management with Wallet’s existing capabilities, making Android’s ecosystem more cohesive and user-friendly.

Meanwhile, Google Play’s annual “Diamond Valley” mini-game has returned for its second year. The treasure-hunt event lets users collect in-game diamonds to win prizes such as the Pixel Watch 4, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Buds Pro 2, Nest Thermostat, and Nest Hub.

The event is currently live in the U.S. until November 9, with expansions planned for the UK and Brazil later this month.
