SuperGrok Users Can Now Build and Publish Apps on Android and iOS

xAI has expanded Grok Build, giving users a simpler way to create and publish apps, websites, games and dashboards directly through Grok on the web, iOS and Android.

The expansion turns Grok into a more capable AI-powered development platform, allowing users to move from an idea to a working digital product without necessarily writing or editing code manually.

Grok Build is now available across SuperGrok and X Premium plans, while xAI says the feature is also accessible more broadly across its plans. The amount of usage available depends on the user’s subscription.

One of the key features is prompt-based app development. Users can describe what they want to create, and Grok can generate the necessary code while displaying a working preview directly inside the conversation.

Users can then continue interacting with Grok to refine the project. They can request design changes, add new features or modify how different parts of the app work without having to manually edit the underlying code.

This approach makes software development more accessible to people who may have an idea for an application but lack traditional programming experience. It also gives experienced developers a faster way to prototype and test concepts.

Once a project is ready, users can publish it directly from Grok. Published projects receive a grok.me web address, while creators can also connect a custom domain that they already own.

Creators have control over how their projects are shared. An app can be kept private, made accessible through a link or published publicly, depending on the creator’s preference.

Grok Build also includes GitHub export functionality. This allows developers to move AI-generated projects into repositories and continue working on them with other development tools and workflows.

Another notable feature is the ability to add xAI capabilities to projects. Users can enable xAI APIs for functions such as Grok chat, image generation and voice features without manually managing API keys.

The platform also supports third-party API keys through Secrets and allows projects to access external information through Connectors. These features could make it possible to build more sophisticated applications that interact with outside services and data.

Projects can also be made remixable, allowing other users to copy an existing creation and modify it for their own purposes. This introduces a collaborative element to the platform and could encourage users to share experimental applications and ideas.

Grok Build is available through grok.com as well as on iOS and Android. xAI has demonstrated the platform creating different types of projects, including 3D games, city simulators, interactive physics experiences and browser-based music applications.

The feature represents a growing trend in AI development tools commonly described as “vibe coding,” where users explain what they want in natural language and let an AI system handle much of the coding process.

Usage remains dependent on the user’s subscription plan. Paid users receive shared usage allowances across Grok products, while additional credits can be purchased after reaching applicable limits.

With the expansion of Grok Build, xAI is making it easier for users to turn ideas into functioning digital products from a single conversation. The combination of AI-generated code, live previews, publishing, GitHub export and API integrations could make the tool useful for both beginners and developers looking to build and test projects more quickly.
