Tech giant Motorola has expanded its audio portfolio with the launch of the Moto Buds 2 Plus and Moto Buds 2 at MWC 2026. Introduced under the company’s Moto Things ecosystem, the new wireless earbuds emphasize premium sound, adaptive noise cancellation, and smart connectivity in a compact, stylish design.
The Moto Buds 2 Plus are positioned as a versatile option for users who switch between work calls, streaming, and casual listening throughout the day. Featuring Sound by Bose technology, the earbuds are tuned to deliver balanced, detailed audio with enhanced clarity across frequencies.
On the hardware side, the Buds 2 Plus are equipped with 11mm dynamic drivers to produce deeper bass, complemented by Knowles balanced armatures that refine mids and highs. This hybrid driver setup is designed to offer a richer and more immersive sound profile compared to standard single-driver earbuds.
The earbuds support Hi-Res Audio through the Low-Latency High-Definition Audio Codec (LHDC), allowing users to experience higher-quality wireless audio when paired with compatible devices. Spatial Audio is also included, creating a wider soundstage that enhances music, movies, and gaming sessions.
One of the standout features is Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which automatically adjusts noise reduction levels based on surrounding environmental sounds. Whether in a busy office, on public transport, or at home, the system aims to maintain optimal listening comfort without manual adjustments.
The Moto Buds 2 Plus also offer dual-device connection, enabling users to stay connected to two devices simultaneously. This makes it easier to switch between a laptop and smartphone without disconnecting and reconnecting each time. Audio sharing functionality allows two pairs of compatible earbuds to connect to a single device for a shared listening experience.
Design-wise, Motorola continues its partnership with Pantone, offering the earbuds in curated color finishes that align with modern style trends. The compact form factor and ergonomic design are intended to ensure comfort during extended wear.
With the addition of smart connectivity features, premium audio tuning, and adaptive noise cancellation, the Moto Buds 2 Plus aim to compete strongly in the mid-to-premium true wireless stereo segment. As wireless audio demand continues to grow, Motorola’s latest release highlights its commitment to blending sound quality with intelligent features.
