iPhone 17 Pro Users Report Colour Fading Issues in Orange and Blue Models
Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro series has come under user scrutiny following reports of colour fading and decolourization on certain units, particularly the Cosmic Orange and Deep Blue variants. The issue, first highlighted on Reddit, has sparked widespread discussion among early adopters and Apple enthusiasts alike.
According to multiple posts and shared images on Reddit, users began noticing unusual discolouration appearing around the camera island shortly after purchasing their devices. Over time, the fading reportedly spreads across the phone’s aluminium frame, while the matte glass back remains unaffected.
What initially appeared to be isolated complaints has now evolved into a growing pattern, with numerous users confirming similar experiences. Owners of both the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max have described the fading as gradual, dulling the phone’s signature metallic vibrancy and leaving behind a patchy, uneven finish.
While the earliest cases focused on the Cosmic Orange model, more recent reports suggest that the Deep Blue variant is also susceptible. Some users humorously commented that their once-bright Cosmic Orange devices have unintentionally turned into a Rose Gold shade after brief exposure to sunlight.
