Samsung Electronics is reportedly preparing to manufacture next-generation 2nm processors for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), marking a potential milestone in advanced chip production competition.

According to a report citing Daishin Securities, a “North American fabless customer” has placed an order for 2nm notebook CPUs with Samsung’s foundry division. Industry tipster Jukan later suggested that the customer in question is likely AMD, although no official confirmation has been provided by either company.
