Pakistan to Launch First Hyperspectral Satellite from China on October 19

Pakistan is preparing to launch its first hyperspectral satellite, HS-1, from China on October 19, marking a historic advancement in the country’s space technology program. The launch represents a significant step in Pakistan’s efforts to strengthen its capabilities in agriculture, environmental monitoring, and urban planning.

According to the Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco), the HS-1 satellite will play a vital role in precision agriculture by helping farmers optimize crop management.
