President Zardari Pays Tribute to Quaid-e-Azam on His 77th Death Anniversary

Honoring the Father of the Nation
On the 77th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, President Asif Ali Zardari paid glowing tribute to the Founder of Pakistan, calling on the nation to embrace Jinnah’s timeless principles of justice, equality, tolerance, and democracy.
In his official message, the President emphasized that Quaid-e-Azam not only gave Muslims of the Subcontinent a homeland but also restored their dignity, self-respect, and identity. “His dream was of a progressive, inclusive, and forward-looking nation where all citizens, regardless of religion, caste, or creed, would enjoy equal rights and opportunities,” President Zardari said.
Relevance of Jinnah’s Vision Today
Drawing attention to the current situation in India, President Zardari noted that the treatment of minorities under the RSS-influenced government validates the Two-Nation Theory. He highlighted that even India’s minority communities acknowledge their rights are no longer secure. “These circumstances reaffirm that the creation of Pakistan was not only justified but inevitable,” he remarked.
Facing Modern-Day Challenges
The President acknowledged the pressing challenges facing Pakistan, including economic instability, climate change, extremism, and the urgent need for institutional reforms. He urged the people to look toward the example of Quaid-e-Azam and the leaders of the Pakistan Movement, who overcame great odds through unity and determination.
“This is a defining moment for Pakistan. Let us reaffirm our resolve to build the country envisioned by Quaid — a democratic state, governed by the rule of law and accountable institutions,” he stated.
Emphasizing Unity, Faith, and Discipline
President Zardari stressed the importance of ensuring opportunities for youth, empowering women, and safeguarding the rights of minorities. Reiterating Quaid’s guiding principles of “unity, faith, and discipline,” he reminded the nation that these ideals remain just as relevant today as they were in 1947.
“If we honour his legacy with sincerity and action, there is no challenge we cannot overcome. I am confident that by acting upon Quaid’s teachings, we can make Pakistan stronger and prosperous, Insha’Allah,” he concluded.
