Xiaomi Aims High with 300,000 SU7 Deliveries in 2025

Xiaomi’s Bold Entry into the Electric Vehicle Industry
Tech giant Xiaomi is making waves in the EV market with its flagship sedan, the SU7. Launched in March 2024, the vehicle quickly gained traction, with over 150,000 units sold by the end of the year. Xiaomi now plans to double down on its success, aiming to deliver more than 300,000 units in 2025.
Why the SU7 is a Game-Changer in the EV Market
The SU7’s success can be attributed to its perfect mix of affordability and cutting-edge features. Available in three variants—Standard (RMB 215,900/$29,775), Pro (RMB 245,900/$33,912), and Max (RMB 299,900/$41,360)—the sedan offers something for everyone. Its modern design, autonomous driving features, and competitive price points have made it a popular choice among EV buyers, despite waiting periods of up to 20 weeks.
Innovative Features and What’s Next for Xiaomi EVs
During a recent event, Xiaomi founder Lei Jun showcased the SU7’s autonomous parking feature, further cementing the brand’s reputation for innovation. He also revealed a striking red 15th-anniversary edition, which is expected to hit the roads in March 2025.
In addition to enhancing the SU7 lineup, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch new models. The high-performance SU7 Ultra, priced at RMB 814,900 ($112,385), will debut in early 2025. Meanwhile, Xiaomi’s first electric SUV, the YU7, is slated for a mid-2025 release, signaling the brand’s expansion into more vehicle categories.
Record Sales and a Promising Future
Xiaomi’s SU7 recorded exceptional sales in December 2024, with over 25,000 units delivered in one month. This milestone reinforces the company’s potential to become a major player in the global EV market, setting the stage for a strong year ahead.
